Stanley L. Nelson, 89, of Webster City, died Friday, October 20, 2006 at Crestview Senior Living. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Cass Township Cemetery with Pastor Gerald Caquelin officiating. Graveside Military Rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #191 of Webster City. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

Stanley LaVerne Nelson, son of Severin and Hannah Schnath Nelson was born on December 20, 1916 at Britt, Iowa. He received his education from the Britt Schools. In 1931, he moved to Webster City. He was employed as a truck driver for Sessford Asphalt Company in LeGrand, Iowa until his retirement.

Stanley is survived by his sister-in-law, Helen Nelson of Webster City; niece Donna Stimson also of Webster City; and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and Everett Nelson, and sister, Mildred Leopold. Stanley was a member of the American legion Post #191 of Webster City.
