Neva Myers, 86, of Webster City, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, at the Mercy Medical Center at Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Church of Christ, with Pastor Ray Artrip officiating. Burial will be in the Cass Township Cemetery, north of Webster City. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and at the church Monday.

Neva Lorene Dick, daughter of Hugh and Grace Smith Dick, was born March 22, 1917 at Webster City. She attended a rural school near Highview, then graduated from Lincoln High at Webster City in 1935. She started employment at the Woolworth Store. On January 1, 1939, she married George Wilmer Myers at her parents home east of Highview.
The couple farmed in the Duncombe-Webster City areas for several years. She had worked at Marvel’s Sale Barn, Anthony’s Clothing Store, Super Valu and Fareway. She retired in 1980.

Mrs. Myers is survived by her husband, George; sons and daughters-in-law, Eldon and Beverly Myers of Jasper, Mo.; Howard and Linda Myers of Omaha, Ne.; grandchildren, Scott Myers; Shelly and Michael Stone; Stuart Myers; Randy and Emily Myers; Denise and Michael Ellis; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Welp of Glenwood, Ia; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her; son, Robert Myers in infancy; her parents; step-mother, Marie Beisner Dick. She was a member of the Church of Christ and the E.O.W. (Every Other Wednesday) Club.
