ADAMS, MN — Voral Marie Zdenek, age 96, of Rose Creek, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at the Adams Healthcare Center. Voral was born May 14, 1914, in Belmond, Iowa, to Ralph and Ardelia (Dipple) Thayer. On Dec. 17, 1935, she was united in marriage to Joseph Zdenek at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. She was a farmer and a homemaker. Voral was a member of the Congregational Church in Rose Creek. She enjoyed dancing, cards, traveling, gardening and crafts.

Survivors include her daughter, Ardella M. Bahr, Nesbit, Miss.; two grandchildren, Kim (Jeff) Langer, North Mankato, and Kory (Anna) Brown, Eagan; six great-grandchildren; brother, Orval Thayer, Rockwell, Iowa; nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Zdenek on Dec. 29, 1975; and brother, Gayle Thayer.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at Mayer Funeral Home, with Pastor Dave Hoot officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service at Mayer Funeral Home on Saturday. Interment will be in Rose Creek Enterprise Cemetery.
