Charles E. Mullins

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon in the Poteet, Texas, Methodist church for Charles E. Mullins, 49, son-in-law of the late Dr. and Mrs. Archie Brown of this city. His sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ernest Bonine and Mrs. Martha Smith, both of this city, who have been in Poteet for the past several days will attend the rites. Mr. Mullins had been in ill health for the past 18 months and became critically ill about three weeks ago. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Mullins, of Corwith, Iowa. He was born March 15, 1901 in Maroa, Ill., and was married to Mary Ruth Brown of Rochester on June 4, 1930 in Texas. He was coordinator of the Veterans Vocational school in Baker county, Tex., and was a member of the Methodist church, the Masonic Order and the Rotary club at Poteet. Mr. Mullins was a graduate of the University of Iowa. Surviving are his wife and parents; a son Charles Brown Mullins, at home, and five brothers and sisters.
