CAMERON, Mo. — Robert R. Filloon, 86, Cameron, died Friday, November 19, 2010. He was born February 10, 1924, in Goldfield, Iowa, to F. Russell and Emily Filloon, and had been a resident of St. Joseph for 43 years. On March 2, 1946, he married Thérèse Bodourian, who preceded him in death on April 29, 2010. During World War II, Mr. Filloon, who served in the Army, was stationed in Western Europe. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and the American Legion Post No. 359. He also had a great love for fishing.
Mr. Filloon was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Dorothy Buettner; five brothers, Dick, Doyle, Dayton, Bill, and James; one son, Robert J. Filloon; one grandson, Ryan W. Zeiger. Survivors: two daughters, Janet Zeiger (Ron), Jacqueline Eagan (Roy); grandchildren, Rachel Zeiger, Paula Noble (Chris), Jill Eagan, and Roy K. Eagan; great-grandchildren, Liam Hinrikus, Aubrey Noble; two sisters-in-law, Violet and Kay Filloon; sister, Marge Quade; brother, Dean Filloon (Darlene); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday, November 29, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 28, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where a rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Entombment: Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family suggests memorial gifts to Family’s Choice.
