AUSTIN. MN -- LuVern M. Bender, 83, of Austin, died Tuesday (Feb. 20, 1996) at Burr Oak Manor Nursing Home in Austin. LuVern Cleveland was born May 11, 1912, in Goldfield, Iowa. She married Warren Bender. He died in 1964. Mrs. Bender was a member of Crane Community Chapel in Austin. Survivors include a son, Robert of Bloomington; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son. The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Clasen-Jordan Chapel in Austin, with the Rev. Joe Matt officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Austin. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary in Austin and one hour before services at the funeral home on Saturday. Memorials are suggested to Crane Community Chapel.
