Marjorie C. Johnson, 89, of 733 Security Drive, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at Froedert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Wauwatosa. She was born May 27, 1911, in Corwith, Iowa, the daughter of Robert D. and Lillian B. Gallup Swearingen. On Sept. 26, 1939, she married Irving H. Johnson in Iowa City, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 1998. Mrs. Johnson worked as an office manager at Woolworth Department Store in Fond du Lac from 1951 to 1963. She enjoyed traveling, painting and reading and was devoted to her family. Survivors include two daughters, Rosemary A. Johnson and Kaye L. Pare, both of Fond du Lac; three grandchildren, Erin (Don) Mohr, Dennis (Mary) George and Brina (Kevin) Abitz; and five great-grandchildren, Miranda and Kristin Mohr, Joshua and Leah George, and Zachary Abitz. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother. Visitation: There will be a home visitation after 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at 733 Security Drive, W104. Cremation has taken place. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
