A funeral for Mae A. Bloomgarden, a Northeast Portland resident, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Ross Hollywood Chapel. Entombment will be in Rose City Cemetery. Mrs. Bloomgarden died Thursday in a Portland care center of causes related to age. She was 83.
Mrs. Bloomgarden was born Mae Greenwalt on Oct. 30, 1908, in Corwith, Iowa. She came to Portland about 1920. She was a homemaker. In 1946, she married William Bloomgarden. He died in 1979. Survivors include four daughters, Julye Robertson and Janet Leininger, both of Portland, Judith McKibbin of Gresham and Doris Robertson of La Grande; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
