Harold Kenneth Cary, 85, of Uniondale, Ind., formerly of Danville, died May 20, 2009, at Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana. Born in Corwith, Iowa, on July 13, 1923, he was the owner of Cary Construction for many years in Danville, building 250 homes and small commercial buildings. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. As an avid fisherman, he and his wife wintered in Naples, Fla., for 42 years.

Surviving are his wife, Betty (Wilson) of 65 years; a son, Terry, of Palmetto, Fla.; a daughter, Sharon Espich of Uniondale; a brother, Meredith Cary; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Blanche (Bogard) Cary and one grandson.

A celebration of life for Harold Kenneth Cary will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center with his son, Rev. Terry Cary officiating. Following the service he will be laid to rest at Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation for Harold will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2009 at the funeral home. Memorials to Harvest Field Community Church, Parrish, Fla., the Uniondale United Methodist Church and Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana.
