Former Federal Way resident Harry W. Klatt of Orting died Aug. 26, 2000, in Tacoma. He was 84. Born May 21, 1916, in Corwith, Iowa, he was a veteran of World War II and lived in Federal Way from 1966 to 1999. Mr. Klatt retired from The Boeing Co. as a machinist. He was a member of the Boeing Machinist Union and Orting Community Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Helen Klatt of Orting, and daughters Kathleen Crichton of La Center, Mavis Boyd of San Angelo, Texas, Connie Fischer of Everett and Karen Moore of Orting. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Orting Community Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Personal Alternative Funeral Services in Kent.
