Lena Evelyn Vike was born June 15, 1894 to John Swenson and Rachel Vike. ....She attended schools in Woolstock and Eagle Grove. She married Homer Middleton in 1916 at her parent's home in Woolstock. The couple farmed south of Eagle Grove. He died in 1946. She lived in Eagle Grove for one year then returned to the farm. She moved back to Eagle Grove in 1987. Survivors include her son, Jack, Eagle Grove; daughter, Darlene Middleton, Eagle; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Homer; her parents; son, Elwood; brother, John Jr.; 7 sisters; and one great-grandchild. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove.
