W. J. Stockdale rites Wednesday at Eagle Grove

EAGLE GROVE — Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Kastler Funeral Home for Willliam J. Stockdale, 59. He died suddenly of a heart attack Sunday at his home near Woodard. He was a former Eagle Grove resident. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Surviving are his wife Lillian; two step-sons, Dean McGuire, Des Moines; Robert McGuire, Chicago; his mother, Mrs. Anna Stockdale, Eagle Grove; two brothers, Lawrence Eagle Grove; Burdette, Marshalltown; two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Edwards, Rochester. Minn., and Mrs. William Larick, Eagle Grove.

William Jennings "Jens" Stockdale, age 59, a laborer, died Easter Sunday, April 17, 1960 of a heart attack at his home in Madrid, Iowa. Funeral services were held at the Kastler Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, Iowa with Rev Jordan T. Jacobson officiating. Burial, Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. He was survived by his wife, Lillian Marie Bohner Stockdale. William Jennings "Jens" Stockdale was born April 11, 1901 at Stratford, Iowa to Samuel and Anna Stockdale. He was married to Lillian Bohner Behymer in about 1950. There were no children.
