ALEXANDER, IA -- Hannah Modderman, 91, of Alexander, died Monday (Jan. 27, 1997) at the Hampton Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Reformed Church, with the Rev. Gerald Norman officiating. Burial will be in the Alexander Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Dugger Ewing Funeral Chapel, Belmond, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Hannah Modderman was born Oct. 10, 1905, in Meservey. Survivors include one daughter, Karen Wenzel, Rowan; one son, Robert Modderman, Alexander; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Grace Johnson, Meservey, and Emma Wessels, Belmond; and one brother, Don [Boelman], Tucson, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her husband [Herman Modderman], parents, two sisters and four brothers.
