MESERVEY, IA -- Elmer G. Trager, 76, of Meservey, died Tuesday (Sept. 17, 1996) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center, Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Reformed Church, with the Rev. Rodney Meester officiating. Burial will be in Meservey Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Dugger-Ewing Funeral Home, Belmond, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Elmer G. Trager was born Feb. 2, 1920, at Meservey. Survivors include his wife, Bertha Trager of Meservey; one son, Wayne Trager of Bird Island, Minn.; two grandchildren; one step grandson; one sister, Irene McMannus of Belmond; and one brother, Fred Trager of Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
