BELMOND, IA -- Lillian L. Braund, 77, of Belmond, died Wednesday (Aug. 2, 1995) at the Belmond Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the Rev. Tom Currier and Nick Schmit, deacon, officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Tenold Funeral Home, with a 2:30 p.m. rosary led by the Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters of the Americas and a 7:30 p.m.

Lillian L. Braund was born Oct. 1, 1917, in Belmond. Survivors include four daughters, Connie Johnson and Mary Jo Swenson, both of Belmond; Marlene Marriam of Corwith, Alyce Nordell of Edina, Minn.; one stepdaughter, Donna Rhodes of Florida; one son, David Benson of Afton; 11 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Nelson of Belmond; and one brother, Henry Johnson of Sedona, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two grandsons; and three brothers.
