BELMOND, IA -- Esther Boelman, 79, died Monday (July 3, 1995) at the Belmond Community Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bethany Reformed Church, with the Rev. Melvin Voss officiating. Interment will be in the Immanuel Reformed Cemetery, Belmond. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Ewing Funeral Home.
Esther Boelman was born Dec. 6, 1915, in Franklin County near Alexander. Survivors include two sons, Arlynn Boelman of Norfolk, Neb., and James Boelman of Manson; one brother, Ed Pals of Alexander; two sisters, Allie Pastour and Minnie Mennenga, both of Belmond; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, four brothers and four sisters.
