ALEXANDER, IA — Anita Pauline Freeks, 81, of Alexander, died Monday (April 13, 1998) at Belmond Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Latimer, with the Rev. Mike Maddick officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Hampton.

Anita Pauline Freeks was born Dec. 1, 1916, in Latimer. Survivors include daughters, Betty Wessels, Belmond, and Carol Skarr, Dumont; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Florence Meyer, Sheffield, and Viola Oleson, Latimer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister.
