DOWS, IA — Carl Duane Bailey, 64, of Dows, died Wednesday (April 8, 1998) at Dows. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home, Hampton, with the Rev. Michael Tolles, officiating. Burial will be in the Maynes Grove Cemetery, rural Bradford. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Hampton.
Carl Duane Bailey was born Dec. 26, 1933, in Hampton. Survivors include his wife, Rose Mary Bailey, Dows; three daughters, Marlys Hilpipre, Alden, Carol Bailey, Webster City, and Donna Cook, Alden; two brothers, Dale Bailey, Hampton, and Lowell Bailey, Bradford; one sister, Delores Early, Waterloo; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter.
