McCall, Idaho -- Sheldon (Shelly) Haldeman, 66, of McCall, died Sunday, May 20, 1990, in a Boise hospital. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at the McCall Cemetery. The Rev. Ron Clapp will officiate. Services are under the direction of the Heikkila Funeral Chapel, McCall. Shelly was born March 22, 1924, at Woolstock, Iowa, the youngest of eight children. The family moved to Buhl in 1928. After graduating from Buhl High School, he served three years in the Armed Services. He moved to McCall after the war and married Batty Joyce White in 1950. Shelly, along with Bob Williamson, founded Haldeman & Williamson Inc. in 1960. During the past 30 years he built residential and commercial buildings throughout Valley County. The strength and courage he showed through all of his endeavors will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Joyce (B.J.) of McCall; a son, Jess and his wife Dana of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother, Clyde Haldeman of Donnelly; two sisters, Ruth Krannichfeld of Boise and Mary Hansen of Redlands Calif. Memorials may be made to the VA Medical Center (Research Service), 500 W. Fort St., Boise.
