GARNER, IA -- August A. Trager, 84, died Wednesday (Aug. 9, 1995) at Concord Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cataldo Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert T. Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Meservey Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral chapel.

August Albert Trager was born April 14, 1911 in Belmond. Survivors include four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fred Trager of Alexander and Elmer Trager of Meservey; one sister, Irene McMannus of Belmond; two stepsons, Dick Grove of Council Bluffs and Lloyd Grove of Adel; one stepdaughter, Ramona White of Redding, Calif.; 11 step grandchildren; and 21 step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first and second wives, two sons, his parents, two brothers and one sister.
