Emma Klockman, 97, Thief River Falls, formerly of Goodridge, Minn., died Sunday, March 5, 2000, in Oakland Park Nursing Home, Thief River Falls, where she had lived since 1993.
Emma Ptacek was born July 9, 1902, the daughter of Joe and Louise (Richardt) Ptacek, in Klemme, Iowa. They moved to Thief River Falls. She attended school in Pennington County, Minn. She worked at Black's Sweet Shop, Thief River falls. She married Henry Klockman on Sept. 26, 1923. They lived in Marshall County, Minn., and Mavie, Minn. She helped on the family farm.
She is survived by a son, Ralph (Lillian), Goodridge; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a great-grandson; sisters, Annie Sebek and Mayme Mammel; and brothers, Charles and Albert. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, St. John Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls. Visitation: 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Green Funeral Home, Thief River Falls, and one hour before services in the church. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls.
