Newbury Park, CA -- Meta Norva Roper, age 87, passed away Thursday Dec. 23 1999. She was born in Garner Iowa and has lived in Ventura County for the past 39 years. Meta was preceded in death by her husband Russell Roper. She is survived by her two sons Clyde K. Carrier of Dixon Calif. and Larry A. Carrier of Ottawa Kan.; step-daughter Joan Pruett of Arroyo Grande Calif.; two sisters Mabel Barz of Klemme Iowa and Iris Grieman of Garner Iowa; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many other relatives. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday Dec. 27 1999 at Valley Oaks Memorial Park 5600 Lindero Canyon Road Westlake Village Calif. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Bros. Griffin Mortuary Thousand Oaks.
