Maryln A. Anderson, 69, of Belmond, died Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Belmond Health Care Center in Belmond. Funeral mass was held Wednesday morning, Sept. 27, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Belmond, with Fr. David Beckman, officiating Burial was at the Amsterdam Cemetery in Goodell. Music was provided by Janyce Kinseth, organist, and Maxine Whitty, cantor; Tom Bock was Lector. Ushers were Terry Anderson and Hubert Kopriva. Casket bearers were Walter Mason Travis Nolte, Tennille Anderson, Christopher Nolte, Mike Anderson and Nicholas Smith. Honorary bearers were Christy Mason, Jamie Mason, Tiffany Anderson, Troy Buckley, Maicie Mason, Jacob Mongan, Scot Peil, Larinda Mongan, Autumn Anderson, Duane Anderson, Madison Mason, Jennifer Peil, Timothy Mongan, Helen Nolte, Jesse Riggs, Bryanna Mongan, Keko.

Marilyn Alberta Dorr was born February 26, 1931, the daughter of Albert and Nellie (Fulton) Dorr. She attended and graduated from the Belmond High School. She was united in marriage to Leonard Anderson on April 29, 1950, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Belmond. They made their home in Goodell. After Leonard died in 1995, she moved to the Belmond Community Apartments, and in failing health she entered the Belmond Health Care Center.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Leonard in 1995; grandson, Josh Anderson; seven brothers; and two sisters. Survivors are her children and their spouses: Mary Ellen and Wayne Mason of Goodell, Evelyn Nolte of Goodell, Theresa and Dan Beck of Minden, NB, Annette and Miles Schallert of Denver, CO, Duane and Kathy Anderson of New Hampton, Terry and Bonnie Anderson of Goodell, Tony Anderson of North Liberty; grandchildren, Walter and Christy Mason, Larinda and Timothy Mongan, Scot and Jennifer Peil, Jamie Mason, Mike Anderson, Tennille Anderson, Autumn Anderson, Tiffany Anderson, Helen Nolte, Troy Buckley, Travis Nolte, Christopher Nolte, Nicholas Smith, Duane Anderson, Keko, Jesse Riggs; great grandchildren, Maicie Mason, Madison Mason, Bryanna Mongan, and Jacob Mongan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Mildred Dorr, O'Larry and Doris Dorr, all of Belmond.
