RITES SET FOR WOMAN AT DOWS

Mrs. Susan Denger Was Resident 32 Years; Six Children Survive

DOWS, IA —Mrs. Susan K. Denger died Thursday at the Lutheran hospital at Hampton from heart disease. She married G. D. Denger about 48 years ago. They came to this community 32 years ago and bought a farm six miles southwest of Dows which was their home until the death of Mr. Denger nearly 11 years ago. Mrs. Denger continued to reside there in company with her son, Ray, and family. She leaves six children. Her oldest son, many years a banker at Galt, died last April. Her children are: Clarence and Stanley Denger of Galt, Ralph Denger, Dows; Ray Denger on the home farm; Mrs. Rosa Ellefson, Alden, and Roy Denger, superintendent of schools at Scranton. She leaves one brother, Thomas Harris, and one sister, Mrs. Rose Duschman of LaFayette, Ind. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at the Dows Methodist church with the Hev. L. A. Dale in charge. The Dows chapter, Order of Eastern Star, will give the burial service of the order, with Worthy Matron Mrs. Myrtle Denger, sister-in-law of the deceased, in charge.
