Walter O. A. "Walt" Schubert, 86, Liberty, Missouri passed away February 6, 2007 at his home. Funeral services will be February 10, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Church of Christ, 232 NE 69 Hwy, Claycomo, MO. 64119. Burial will follow at The Barry Cemetery. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Mr. Schubert was born August 6, 1920 in Britt, Iowa. He married Evelyn V. Swan on January 4, 1942. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII until his discharge on March 18, 1946. Walter and Evelyn farmed outside of Belmond, Iowa until moving to Kansas City in 1961. Walt was employed at the General Motors Fairfax plant until retirement in the spring of 1984. They traveled around the United States for 2 years before settling in Fiesta Village in Mission, Texas. In 2004, they returned to live in Liberty, MO., where they enjoyed their family. Walt was preceded in death by the love of his life, Evelyn Schubert in February 2005, both parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister. Survivors include his three sons, William W. Schubert of Pocatello, ID, Jeffrey C. Schubert of Excelsior Springs, MO, and Timothy J. Schubert of Liberty, MO., 14 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Arrangements D. W.
