December 7, 1961Funeral services for Miss Geneva Alice Pletcher, 36, of Webster City, formerly of Clarion, were held Tuesday at Holmes Baptist Church.The Rev. R. P. Halvorsen officiated and burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery at Goldfield. Eyler funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
Geneva Alice Pletcher was born November 26, 1925 on a farm in Dayton township and passed away in Lutheran Hospital at Fort Dodge, December 3, 1961. She attended the rural school at Dayton Center. The youngest of eight children, she made her home with her parents. She grew to womanhood in that vicinity. In 1952 she moved with her parents to Webster City where she resided until her last illness. She accepted Christ as her Saviour. She was a kind, loving and thoughtful person ever ready and willing to help where help was needed. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Pletcher, one brother, Eldon, of Clarion, and six sisters, Mrs. Irene Kolbeck and Mrs. Cleo Bosworth of Webster City, Mrs. Eura Marrs, Mrs. Eva Peyton and Mrs. Evea Laurisch all of Chicago, Illinois and Mrs. Charlotte Amosson of Clarion.
