ALDEN, Iowa —Rozella Leggett, 78, of Alden, died on Thursday, July 31, 2008, at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, August 4, at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Alden, with burial in the Alden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4:00 p.m., on Sunday, at the Surls Funeral Home in Alden.

Rozella Leggett, was born on January 16, 1930 in Holstein, the daughter of Carl and Myrtle (Blenner) Ehlert. Rozella graduated from the Popejoy High School in 1948 and was united in marriage to Robert Leggett on April 2, 1952, at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Alden. Rozella had been a church custodian for 21 years and a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Rozella is survived by her two sons, Roy of Alden and Lyle and wife, Kathy of Mankato, Minnesota; two grandsons, Adam Leggett of Round Lake Beach, Illinois and Tyler Leggett and wife, Heather of Wichita, Kansas; a great-granddaughter, Addison Leggett; a twin sister, Rosa Ward of Swea City; and a nephew, Jimmy Ward of Swea City. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother-in-law, John Ward.
