Mrs. Clara Hanson Funeral Today

Funeral Services will be this afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Evangelical Lutheran Church for Mrs. Clara Hanson, 79, who died Tuesday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. James Deimerly on S.W. 10th Street. Mrs. Hanson was visiting her sister-in-law Mrs. Clara Hanson in Fort Dodge two weeks ago, and fell and broke her hip. She was hospitalized a week and improved sufficiently to be brought to the Deimerly home last Wednesday. She died suddenly of a heart attack at 4 o'clock Tuesday morning. She is survived by three sons and four daughters. Albert and Otto of Fort Dodge, Herman of Livermore, Mrs. Osmund Knutson, Fort Dodge, Mrs. Agnes Hagen, Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Thos. Clark, Kirkland, Wash., and Mrs. Deimerly.

Mrs. Clara Hanson, 79, recently hospitalized with a broken hip, died Tuesday, November 27, 1962 at the home of her daughter Mrs. James Deimerly. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kenneth R. Torvik pastor, with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Clara Louise was born July 26, 1883 at Elliott, Illinois, to Ole Andrew Larson and Serina, nee Olson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Elliott. On February 11, 1903 she married Martin M. Hanson, also of Elliott. About 1910 the family moved to Thor, Iowa, and in 1918 to Eagle Grove. She is survived by three sons and four daughters. Albert and Otto both of Fort Dodge, Herman of Livermore, Serina, Mrs. Osmund Knutson, Fort Dodge, Mrs. Agnes Hagen, Seattle, Wash., Elsie, Mrs. Thomas Clark, Kirkland, Wash., and Mabel, Mrs. James Deimerly Eagle Grove. Twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren also survive her. Her parents, her husband Martin, and their daughter Florence Marie preceded her in death.
