Clear Lake, IA -- Requiem high mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic church Thursday morning at 9 o'clock for Mrs. George Gerk, 62, who died Sunday at a hospital. The Rev. J. J. Buzynski will be celebrant and burial will be in Clear Lake cemetery. The rosary will be said at Wards funeral home Wednesday evening at 8:30 o'clock.

Mrs. Gerk was born Elizabeth A Nuebel, February 2, 1884, at Dunkerton. She clerked in Waterloo for a time and was married to Mr. Gerk June 16, 1909. They lived on a farm near Stacyville until 1918 when they moved to Hillsboro, N. Dakota, where they remained until 1930 when they came to the present home northwest of Clear Lake. Besides her husband, Mrs. Gerk is survived by 8 sons, 3 daughters, 10 gandchildren and several brothers and sisters. The children are; Paul Gerk, Eagle Grove; Mrs. M. E. Thompson, Marysville, Wash.; Joe Gerk, Northwood; George Gerk Jr., Maquoketa; Mrs. Larry Crowell, Mason City; Arthur Gerk, Humboldt; Kenneth Gerk, Veterans hospital, Knoxville; Miss Mildred Gerk, Mason City and Donald and Bill Gerk at home.
