Ronald V. Potter, 74, of Kingston, Ga., passed away on Sept. 7, 2009. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010, at the Canton Cemetery in Canton, Iowa, with Harriett Boothby officiating. Ronald was born on Dec. 19, 1936, in Sigourney, Iowa, the son of Melvin and Ester Potter. Ronald worked 40 years as an electrician. He worked for Dewey Electric in Ventura, Determan Electric in Mason City and Dave’s Electric in Belmond. Ronald and his wife, Winnona, retired and moved to Kingston, Ga., in 1998. There they enjoyed gardening, especially his flowers. Ronald is survived by his wife of 54 years, Winnona, of Mason City; sons, Roger (Linda), of Eloh, Colo., and Melvin (Lisa) of Nora Springs; grandchildren, Tessa M. Potter, Scott A. Potter Brick, Chris Potter, and Marcus Potter, Sherrie and Nathan; and other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Ester; and son, Ronald D. Potter.
