Services for Mrs. Anna Benson will be held Thursday morning at 11 a. m. at the Eyler Funeral home in Clarion. Mrs. Benson died Tuesday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Oldham with whom she had been living. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Thursday in Granville, Ill. Mrs. Benson was born in Sweden and came to the United States at the age of 19. She was married to Alfred Benson in 1933 [ed. should be ca. 1901] and they lived on farm in the Clarion area until his death about 25 years ago. Burial will be at Granville, Ill. She is survived by four daughters; Mrs. Ben Oldham, Mrs. Ivan Anderson of Putnam, Ill., Mrs. Howard Ellis of Rock Island, Ill.; Mrs. J. D. Simmons of Kirkwood, Ill., and two sons, Harold of Rock Island and Alvin of Clarion. Seventeen grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren also survive. She is a long-time member of United Presbyterian church.
