Mrs. Martha Osman, 80, of Minot, N.D., a former resident of Billings, died Tuesday morning at Minot. She and her husband operated a restaurant in Rapelje in the 1920’s before coming to Billings. She was born in Story City Iowa, June 13, 1877, and was married to Thomas Osman in Goodell, Iowa, Nov. 21, 1897. The couple came to Rapelje from Iowa in 1917 and established their cafe business. They moved to Billings in 1933 and Mr. Osman died here in 1951. Shortly after her husband’s death Mrs. Osman moved to Minot.

The body was brought to Smith's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted, a Smith's Chapel Friday, at 3 p.m with the Rev. Ralph W. Glenn of the American Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Mount view Cemetery.

Mrs. Osman is survived by two sons, H. Leroy Osman of Minot and Theodore O. Osman of Seattle, Wash.; five daughters, Mrs. Merle Schmidt of Minot, Mrs. Arnold Wick of Glendale, Calif., Mrs. Charles Nichols of Tacoma, Wash. Mrs. Narvie Jorgenson of Williston, N.D., and Mrs. W. L. Downs of Molt; a brother, Albert Larson of Kanawha, Iowa; a sister, Mrs Lee Bright of Minot; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
