November 20, 1958GOLDFIELD — Funeral services for Marquis Madison, 72, were held Nov. 4 at the Goldfield Methodist church. The Rev. J. Howard Machlan, pastor of the church, conducted services. Interment was in the Glenwood cemetery at Goldfield. Pallbearers were Albert Madison, Jr. William Madison, Earl Madison. Fred Madison Jr., Fred McAdams and Duane Ulstad. Leonard Madison was the soloist and Mrs. Glen Braden the organist. Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Ray Snyder and Mrs. Alva Hill.
Mr. Madison died Nov. 1 at the Clarion Memorial hospital. Marquis Madison, son of the late Fred and Cora Nelson. Madison was born June 3, 1886, on a farm near Goldfield. He attended the rural schools and the Goldfield Public school. On March 28, 1912, he was united in marriage to Minnie P. Ernst near Humboldt. Mr. and Mrs. Madison farmed In the Owl Lake community for several years before moving to their present home northwest of Goldfield. Mr. Madison was a member of the Goldfield Methodist church.
Surviving him are his wife, Minnie; seven brothers and five sisters: Albert of Wallingford; George of Ann Arbor, Mich.; Hans of Montebello, Calif.; Eddie of Bixby, Minn.; Roy of Woden; Leonard of Clarion: Carroll of Woodward; Mrs. Joe Sykes of Whittemore, Mrs. Elmer Ulstad of Gowrie; Mrs. Seymour Donsi of Des Moines; Mrs. Julius McAdams of Dows. and Mrs. Edna Glidden of Glendale, Calif. He was preceded in death by three children, who died in infancy, three sisters, and one brother.
