Services were held Sunday in the Goldfield United Presbyterian church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. G. McKnight. Music was given by Mrs. Milton Nelson and Mrs. Craig Nelson, with Mrs. Merle Harvey, organist. Casket bearers were Douglas Rasmussen, Merrill Rasmussen, Curtis Ganzeveld, Ronald Rasmussen, Orval Rasmussen and Toney Rasmussen. Interment was in the Glenwood cemetery, Goldfield.
Mrs. Minnie C. Christensen was born on an island in Denmark, called Laaland on February 8, 1870. She was the third oldest of the nine children, six boys and three girls, of Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Rasmussen. At two years of age she came with them to this country. She passed away in Goldfield on November 13, 1958, at the age of 88 years, 10 months and 5 days. She was married to Carl Hansen. and to them one son, Chris of Winslow, Ariz., was born. Separated by a divorce, after several years she married Nels Nielsen, and was a good mother to his three young daughters, two of whom are living at Alhambra, Calif. Some years after Mr. Nielsen's death she was married to Chris Christensen, who passed away about 1934.
She is survived by one son, Chris Hansen of Winslow. Ariz., three grandsons, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; and by one brother, Hans P. Rasmussen of Goldfield, and many other relatives and friends.
