Marilyn Joann Meyer, 74, of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008, at the North Iowa Mercy Medical Center, Mason City, Iowa. Funeral services for Marilyn Meyer will be 10:30 am Monday, April 28, 2008 at The Linn's Funeral Home, Iowa Falls Chapel, with Rev. Bob Miller officiating. Inurnment will be at the Mayne's Grove Cemetery, rural Bradford, Iowa. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Marilyn Joann Blackmor was born on May 5, 1933, to Esther E. [Eaten] and Ralph T. Blackmore at Corwith, Iowa. She attended schools in Popejoy and Iowa Falls. On March 11, 1951, she was united in marriage to George K. "Shorty" Meyer. To this union four children were born. David, M. Roxanne, Tamara and Michael. Marilyn was a homemaker and later a Home Health Caregiver in Eldora.

Marilyn is survived by her children, David Meyer of Knoxville, Iowa, Roxanne [Brad] Stoen, Iowa Falls, Iowa, Tamara [Roger] Last, of Alden, Iowa, Michael Meyer and partner Jon Garness of Rochester, Minnesota; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Esther and Ralph Blackmore and her husband Shorty Meyer.
