GALLATIN, Missouri -- Violet May (LaRue) Vestweber, 91, Gallatin, died Friday, Jan. 29, 1999, at a Gallatin health-care center. Mrs. Vestweber, a homemaker, was a member of the Jehovah Witness Church, Clarion, Iowa. Born Oct. 7, 1907, in Dows, Iowa, she was a graduate of Dows High School. She briefly lived in Spencer, Iowa, before moving to Gallatin in 1995. On Feb. 4, 1930, she married William C. Vestweber in Hennepin Falls, Minn. They lived and farmed in the Dows area until her husband, William, died in 1992. Mrs. Vestweber also was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel J. and Anna M. LaRue; and a grandchild. Surviving: a son, Jack W., Gallatin; a sister, Caroline Vestweber, Thornton, Iowa; a brother, Dale LaRue, Muscoda, Wis.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The body has been cremated. No service or visitation is scheduled. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Arrangements: Bram Funeral Home, Gallatin.
