18 December 1843 -- 12 January 1916

Maria Sophia Dorothea Moller was born on Dec. 18, 1843, at Domsuhl, Germany. She was baptized and confirmed in the German Lutheran church and remained a faithful member of that church until the day of her death. She was married to John Beyer of Garwitz, Germany, in 1866. The family came to the U. S. in 1892 and settled In Hamilton County, moving later to Wright county where they have resided ever since. To this union were born four children; John and Fredi of Vernon Township, Mrs. Fred Gade of Iowa Falls and Miss Anna of Des Moines. Beside the above, she leaves to mourn her loss, 14 grand children. Her husband died four years ago and since then grandma has lived with her children.

After an illness which lasted from the first of the year Mrs. Beyer passed away on Jan. 12th at the age of 72 years and 24 days. She was buried on Sunday afternoon, the Rev. A. Zerlinger of the Vernon township Lutheran church conducting the services. Thus passes another earnest, consistent Christian life from our midst. We Join with friends of the family in offering our sincere sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
