Stiennette M. "Nettie" Hansen, 91, of Cheyenne died March 19, 2010 at Mountain Towers Healthcare. She was born Aug. 15, 1918, in Meservey, Iowa, a daughter to Jacob and Bertha (Gerdes) Koenen. She married Edwin L. Hansen on May 15, 1941, at the Zion Reformed Church in Chapin, Iowa. They lived in Pine Bluffs for a year before moving to Cheyenne in 1942. Mrs. Hansen was a confirmed member of First English Lutheran Church (now St. Paul's) in Cheyenne on Dec. 17, 1942.

She is survived by her two daughters, Loretta Pyle of Cheyenne and Lois Griffin of Fort Collins, Colo.; two sisters, Minnie Meyer of Latimer, Iowa, and Ruth Doane of Sheffield, Iowa; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hansen was preceded in death by her husband Edwin on Nov. 30, 1971; her parents; and two sisters, Ione Meyer and Alberta Oldag.

Memorial services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Schmidt officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 19th and House, Cheyenne, WY 82001. Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
