Lewistown, MontanaMary E. Heller, 76, of Lewistown died Tuesday morning at Central Montana Hospital following a long illness. She was born Jan. 8, 1912 in Williams, Iowa, a daughter of Henry and Mary Holdgrafer. She was educated in Iowa and in 1931 she moved to Montana, settling in Lewistown. In 1934 she married Albert W. Heller in Lewistown. They lived in Lewistown and she worked at several businesses, including Safeway, Eck's Pharmacy, Rosland Drug and Owl Drug, where she was employed until earlier this year when she quit due to health. Mrs. Heller was an avid bowler, and was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church and the Women of the Moose. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1953. Survivors include one daughter, Maxine Aleba of Walla Walla, Washington; three sisters, Frances Crilly and Theresa Walker, both of Williams, Iowa and Louise Maubach of Vancouver, Wash.; one grandson, Gary Distad of Havre, and two great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Dec. 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, with interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends will meet Thursday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. in the Cloyd Chapel to recite the rosary.
