Martin O. Boss, son of John & Mary Boss, was born on December 12, 1895 at Manning, Iowa. He passed away at the North Grand Care Center in Ames, Iowa on February 23, 1981 at the age of 85 years, 2 months and 11 days. During World War One, he served with the United States Army. On October 12, 1921 he was united in marriage with Carrie Ward at Menlo, Iowa. The couple farmed near Menlo, until 1944 when they moved to a farm near Williams. In 1963 he retired and moved to Ames, Iowa. Martin was a member of the United Methodist Church in Williams. He is survived by 2 sons, Earl and his wife, Thelma of Ames, Iowa and Wayne and his wife, Mary of Williams, Iowa; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Clara Croisant of Casey, Iowa and Mrs. Ella Farrell of Omaha, Nebraska; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Carrie in 1960; his daughter, Violet in 1953; 4 brothers and 3 sisters. The Family would like to thank everyone for the acts of kindness and expressions of sympathy.
