Funeral services for Richard Long are held Saturday. Funeral services for Leslie Richard Long, 80, were conducted Saturday at the Chapel of the Danekas Funeral Home. He died Thursday at the Ritzville Memorial Hospital following a short illness and a 10 day confinement there. Mr. Long was born November 7, 1892 at Williams, Iowa. He attended school in Iowa. He was married July 11, 1920 at Lincoln Nebraska. He was a barber for a time at Edgemont, Nebr.; and later in Tacoma and other places. Later he operated a dairy farm at Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Survivors are his wife, Emma, at home, 311 West Main Avenue. Two daughters and two sons. The daughters are Mrs. Marion Nelson, Seattle and Mrs. Mildred Drake, Bonners Ferry. The sons are Eugene R. Long. and Edward L. Long, both Spokane. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A step brother, Rev. Howard Beck, conducted the funeral service. Paul bearers were L.J. Maher, Fred Schwisow, Ray Klein, A.R. Hanson, George Freese and Tom Johnson. Burial was at the Ritzville Memorial Cemetery.
