Paul J. Robinson

Born April 24, 1919 in Kanawha, Iowa, Paul Robinson passed away April 1, 2002 in Tacoma, Washington. He retired from the U.S. Army, July 31, 1963, and from Tacoma School District, June 30, 1981. Paul was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Taco- ma. He was also a member of Afifi Temple A.A.O.N.M.S., The Scottish Rite and Defiance #22 F.&A.M., Corinthian Chapter #172 O.E.S., and the Elks Lodge #174. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, of 59 years; daughters Charlene (Guy) Schick of Fullerton, California and Paula Varner of Tacoma, Washington; sister Alice Dotson of Langdon, Iowa; and other family members. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of Madigan Army Hospital for the skilled and compassionate care Paul was given during his illness. A memorial to celebrate his life will be held Monday, April 8, 2002 at 3:00 PM at First Christian Church, 602 North Orchard Street. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Christian Church Memorial Fund, or to the Children’s Transportation Fund c/o Afifi Temple Hospital, 815 South Vassault Street, Ta-coma, Washington.
