William H. (Bill) TerHark
Bill passed away peacefully on Oct. 26, 2005 in Tacoma, WA. He was born in Belmond, Iowa to Erma and Dick TerHark on June 3, 1929. The family moved from Iowa to Tacoma, WA. Bill attended school in Tacoma and graduated from Stadium High School in 1948. After graduation he joined the Air Force and while in the service, the family moved to Kennewick, WA. Upon his return, he worked at Hanford as a Reactor Operator. Met and married Audrey in 1951. Surviving are three children, son William H. TerHark, Jr. (Julia), daughter Karen Hill (Jerry), and Kristi Parham (Ralph), Kennewick, WA., and West Richland, WA.; grandchildren are Thomas and Matthew Parham, Kennewick, WA., Denielle Myer, Kent, WA, Lexi Emerson (Greg), North Bethesda, Maryland, Kevin Hill (Shannon) and children, Patrick, David and Nicole of Etna, Wyoming. Bill is survived by his wife Barbara, of six years and her family, John Carr (Cherie), Fox Island, WA., Cheryl Mackay (Gary) and Sheena Kullman (Kevin), Gig Harbor, WA., John E. Carr and friend Tia Hunt, Tacoma, WA. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Allenmore Hospital, Bill’s primary doctor, Richard Waltman and nurse Audrey; Franciscan Hospice and Tacoma Lutheran Home for their care and compassion during our time of need. Viewing: Monday afternoon, Oct. 31st. Graveside service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 2:00 P.M., Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Kennewick, WA. There will be a reception in Tacoma, WA. at the family home; date and time to be announced later in November. In lieu of flowers, make donations in Bill’s name to the American Lung Assoc., or to your favorite charity.
