Elsie L. Pease, September 21, 1907 - May 2, 1995
Elsie was born in Clarion, IA and had lived in Tacoma for 62 years. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. In addition to raising her family, Elsie taught first grade at Spanaway Elementary School. In life she had a great love of music, traveling, sewing and religion. She was a member of the Tacoma Ladies Musical Club and was a past director of the choir at the Calvary Methodist Church. Elsie has gone to join her husband, David Walter and son, Ronald Bruce and stepdaughter, Jean Smalling. She is survived by her sons, James K. and his wife, Nelly, L. David and his wife, Claudia; stepson, Joseph M. Pease; son-in-law, Lynn Smalling, all of Tacoma; daughter-in-law, Darlene Kerwin and husband, Laurence of Puyallup; 2 sisters, Marie Tillman and Eva Mae Dickson, of Klamath Falls, OR. She also leaves behind many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Services will be held on Sat., May 6, 1995, 3 p.m. at the Mt. View Garden Chapel." We loved her dearly and will miss her." In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Tacoma Rescue Mission.Tacoma News Tribune, WA
