Eliza Rhuamah (Manley) SOUTHERTON
19 March 1897 -- 18 December 1985Rudy was born March 19, 1897 to Carrie Patterson and George Manley at Galt, Iowa. She moved to Breckenridge, Minnesota at an early age. She worked at the Science School in Wahpeton, North Dakota and Cooked for harvest workers in and around that area. Rudy married John Southerton on December 21, 1920 in Duluth, Minnesota. The couple owned and operated a farm east of Kerrick until John's death in February 1963. She passed away Wednesday, December 18, 1985. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Rudy is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Ray (Grace) Ketchum of Esko, MN., Mrs. Larry (Zola) Farness of Duluth, MN. and Mrs. Dwain (Louise) Thomsen of Perham, MN.; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; One sister; Mrs. Ray (Abbie) Botz of Sauk Centre, MN.; two brothers; John Wood of Breckenridge, MN. and Russell Wood of Mesa, Arizona. Rudy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, two sons: Frank Estey and John Charles, two sisters and two brothers.
