Charles A. (Chuck) Osborn, 88 of Greenfield, Indiana passed away Monday, August 17, 2009 at Hancock Regional Hospital, Greenfield. Chuck was born November 11, 1920 in Kanawha, Iowa to the late George A. and Elsie M. (Abbott) Osborn. After high school Chuck attended Iowa State University and on June 10, 1946 he married his wife of 63 years, Kathryn Powers. Chuck served in the U.S. Navy, Pacific Theatre with the rank of Lt.JG from 1942 until 1946. Chuck worked for Eli Lilly Co. (Elanco Div.) as a sales representative for the Animal Products Division from 1957 until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of Bradley United Methodist Church, a fifty year member of Hancock F & AM 101 and the American Legion Post #119.

Chuck is survived by his wife Kathryn, and son; Thomas C. Osborn of Huntingburg, IN. He was preceded in death by daughter; Julie Osborn, two sisters and one brother. Services for Mr. Osborn will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main, Greenfield, IN 46140 with Pastor Wade Compton officiating. Friends may call Wednesday, August 19 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Bradley United Methodist Church.
