Blanche Ellis Stewart Knoll, 86, Brainerd, died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. She was born July 29, 1914, in San Antonio, Texas, to Harry and Blanche (Ellis) Stewart. She was a medical technologist. She married Bill Knoll in 1941 in Boston. She was a member of the Duluth Women's Club and while living in Crosby belonged to the Cuyuna Range Women's Club and the Friday Study Club. She was active at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Brainerd.
Survivors include two sons, William V. Knoll Jr., Brainerd, and Arlo S. Knoll, Grand Rapids; and two grandchildren. Her husband died in 1979 and a brother Bruce Stewart, Oregon, died earlier.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Brainerd with Father Glenn Derby officiating. Graveside services were earlier at Morgan Cemetery in Dows, Iowa. Arrangements are with Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd.
