WEATHER CITED IN TWO PLANE CRASHES
Pueblo, Colo - Rescuers have recovered the bodies of four people killed in two weather-related air crashes, including two people aboard a Denver television news helicopter that went down while en route to search for the first plane...search for a twin-engine Pioneer Airlines turboprop aircraft that was missing in a snowstorm...The victims in the Pioneer plane, which was en route from Santa Fe, N.M., to Pueblo, were pilot David Askew, 32, of Bennett, and co-pilot Robert Bisgrove, 24, of Aurora. Both aircraft went down during a storm that brought snow, fog, freezing drizzle and biting cold to eastern Colorado. Both planes were equipped with emergency locator transmitters, but neither of the devices was activated on impact.
