IOWA FALLS— Connie B. Brown, 82, of Iowa Falls, died Monday, February 27, 2006, at her home. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 2, at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls with burial in the Alden Cemetery.

Constance Smith was born on April 28, 1923, in Iowa City, the daughter of Frank and Velma (Langeson) Smith. She graduated from the Popejoy High School. Connie was united in marriage to Raymond Brown on Nov. 13, 1942, in Bethany, Mo. She had worked at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital as a ward clerk for many years.

Connie is survived by her two sons, Larry and wife Ann of Iowa Falls and Don and wife Barbara of Iowa Falls; four granddaughters, Lorri Amaya and husband Mark of Novi, Mich., Nicole Peterson and husband Dan of Fairbank, Natalie Felton and husband Dave of Manchester, and Ashly Brown of Iowa City; a grandson, Steven Brown and wife Nancy of San Antonio, Texas; eight great-grandchildren, Aaron Amaya, Alia and Colin Brown, Maddie, Landon and Claire Peterson, and Kayla and Noah Felton; and two sisters, Lois Haaland and husband Till of Osage and Lorraine Ellertson of Lake Mills. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; and a sister, Ruth Detra. Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls was in charge of arrangements.
