Died, on Saturday, Nov. 7, 1891, Carrie Boon, wife of A. E. Boon, after an illness of nearly two months, aged 30 years, 11 months and 26 days.
Carrie Nelson was born in Goodhue county Minn. Nov. 11, 1860. She lived here until about 12 years of age, when with her parents she moved to Webster county, this state. In the fall of 1882 she came to Hawarden, and was married to A.(Alfred) E. Boon August 1 1883. She leaves a broken hearted husband, an adopted daughter, a doting mother, and a loving, and a loving sister and brother to mourn her loss. A short service was conducted at the residence at 2 p.m. Saturday, and her remains were then taken to Eagle Grove for interment at which place the funeral was held Sunday afternoon.
As a wife she was kind and affectionate, as a daughter loving and obedient; as a mother fond and indulgent. All will miss her and in their hour of sorrow and sadness the afflicted ones have the sincere sympathy of the entire community.
